This triptych was inspired by a July hike around Donner Lake. The collage interprets a lakeside vista through layered papers and textured color, capturing the rhythm of the shifting water and the grounded presence of the surrounding trees and brush. Vivid blues echo the lake’s depth while greens and earth tones frame the scene, inviting a quiet pause. Layers of richly textured fibers create a deep contrast between the vibrant, electric yellow-green foreground foliage and the intensely patterned sapphire waters in the distance.
The composition is framed by a large pine tree on the left, and cedar trees with a massive granite rock on the right, drawing the eye across the distant horizon. This piece celebrates the raw, expressive power of nature, capturing the restless energy of the alpine lake, and the profound stillness of the mountains.
3 (Three) panels: 10" x 20" x 1.5" each; 33" x 20" x 1.5" overall dimensions. Finished with stained wood veneer edges. Ready to hang: French cleats (Z-clips) installed on backs, with additional cleats for wall included.
